Team Josh

Thank you for visiting our team page!

"Team Josh" is made up of the family members of Joshua Hearndon. Josh was diagnosed in 2014 with glimatosis cerebri. He was able to complete 12 months of chemotherapy in 2015-16 and was stable for 10 months. In January of 2017 Josh moved with his wife Jenna back to their home town of Palm Bay Florida. He started a new chemotherapy regiment and was on that regiment for six months before they found a new growth. In October of 2017 he was diagnosed with stage IV Glioblastoma. He started chemotherapy right away. Unfortunately on March 3rd 2018 he passed away peacefully with his family and wife by his side.

Josh was born in Palm Bay Florida. He met his wife in elementary school and they started dating in high school. After graduating high school he enlisted in the Navy and served 10 years, completeing three deployments; Afghanistan, Iraq, and Spain. In 2011 Josh and Jenna were married in Cape Canaveral on a cruise ship. Once Jenna graduated from college in 2012, she moved to Italy where Josh was currently stationed. Once diagnosed, they moved to Bethesda, Maryland where they spent almost three years living at Walter Reed Naval Support Activity Bethesda while Josh recieved treatment. In 2016 they moved home after Josh retired and bought their first house together.

Josh never let the cancer win, he was always so upbeat and full of life. He constantly made jokes, but he always knew how serious it was. He was extremely over protective of Jenna and always made sure to put her before himself. Though he is gone, he is never far away. Look for him at the ocean, that's where he will be.
