The Ivy Brain Tumor Center is committed to the the fight against brain cancer. We are raising funds and awareness by participating in the Head for the Cure 5K Run/Walk in Phoenix on November 16, 2019 at Kiwanis Park.
Each year, over 79,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor. More than 120 types of brain tumors exist, making effective treatment complicated. Cutting edge research is needed as we continue to make strides in this fight.
Take a stand against brain cancer by joining our team or contributing to our fundraising goal by making a donation.
At the Ivy Brain Tumor Center, we are dedicated to extending the survival of brain cancer patients and contributing to a cure through our innovative Phase 0 clinical trials. Our patients receive individualized care in a fraction of the time and cost associated with traditional research and development. Unlike conventional clinical trials that focus on a specific drug, our Phase 0 clinical trials discover therapy combinations for individual patients, even with the most aggressive brain tumors.
Funds raised by Head for the Cure support cutting-edge research at the Ivy Brain Tumor Center and the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, a network of medical centers with the expertise and the desire to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials investigating new treatments for malignant brain tumors. These funds are essential to our continued progress and success.
Head for the Cure works to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. Every Head for the Cure event marks a day of celebration where those diagnosed with brain cancer are honored and celebrated by their friends and families, those who have lost their battles are remembered, and we are all inspired to carry on the fight.
Please consider making a donation today to help us reach our goal and to help Head for the Cure defeat brain cancer, step by step!
