Don's Eternal Optimists
Hello friends and family!
It is hard to believe that 2019 marks the 5th anniversary since we lost Don from our lives. We would like to take the opportunity to thank those of you who have provided such amazing comfort to our family and let us know how much you miss Don too!!! We are so fortunate to have such a wonderful group of people in our lives who have supported us, not only during Don's fight against cancer, but in the years since we lost him. A major highlight for our family each year is the KC Head for the Cure walk. Our team continues to grow, and so do our contributions to fund brain cancer research! We walk to not only honor Don's memory, but also to keep alive our fervent hope that sometime soon, research will find a cure or way to prevent brain cancer. With this being the 5th anniversary, it is our wish to make this year's team, bigger and better than ever in Don's memory!
On Sunday, August 25, Don's Eternal Optimists will walk with thousands of others whose lives have been forever changed by someone they love who has died or is battling brain cancer. It is an emotionally and physically devastating disease. We ask that you support our efforts through your physical and/or financial support. Head for the Cure is a non-profit organization that seeks to raise funds and awareness for brain cancer research, all the while providing comfort and support to brain cancer patients and their caregivers. We started walking right after Don's death in 2014 to honor his memory and are continuing that tradition until a cure can be found!
Throughout his life, and even as he died, Don brought fun, laughter and purpose to so many lives as the eternal optimist, so please help us continue the loving legacy of a man who truly lived on the bright side of life!! Thank you to those who have joined our team, Don's Eternal Optimists, whether it be by walking with us or donating to this incredible cause, and we'd like to invite those who are thinking about it to join us!!!! We look forward to seeing you all on Sunday, August 25.
We thank you for all your amazing continued support and we couldn't do this without you!
In good health,
Lucie, Mollie, Meghan, Donald, Matthew, Brian, Lucie Jane and Mollie Jean
