Welcome future Titanium Cranium team member!
This year is my fourth anniversary of being diagnosed with brain cancer. It has been a struggle at times to say the least both physically and emotionally. Here are three of the many things that I have learned through all of this:
1) Amy and I couldn't do this without the relentless support of our friends and family. As my mom taught me, it is the people in life that matter. Thank you for being the amazing people in our lives.
2) Cancer research needs more funding. I'm currently part of a Phase 3 clinical trial that literally could save my life.
2) It is so important to celebrate this short and wild life we live.
Come join team Titanium Craniums and run or walk the Head for the Cure 5k, or make a donation to support brain cancer research. Then join us for our 2nd annual (with a small pandemic delay) Survivor Party at casa de bell after the race.
Head for the Cure - Austin on March 27th, 2022 is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research.
Each year, over 84,000 people in the United States are diagnosed with a primary or metastatic brain tumor. More than 120 types of brain tumors exist, making effective treatment complicated. Cutting edge research is needed as we continue to make strides in this fight.
Head for the Cure works to inspire hope for the community of brain cancer patients, their families, friends, caregivers and other supporters, while celebrating their courage, spirit and energy. Every Head for the Cure event marks a day of celebration where those diagnosed with brain cancer are honored and celebrated by their friends and families, those who have lost their battles are remembered, and we are all inspired to carry on the fight.
Funds raised by Head for the Cure support the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, a network of medical centers with the expertise and the desire to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials investigating new treatments for malignant brain tumors.
