We're hoping that through donations and the resulting research, when Emily's astrocytoma returns (unfortunately, it does return), there will be a successful and permanent treatment to eliminate this terminal disease. Her ultimate survival depends on successful treatments being developed before her cancer returns.

We are joining the fight against brain cancer by participating in Head for the Cure Seattle.  This year, 2022, it will be held on July 9th, at Magnuson Park. (At 9am, if you're in the area :-)

Head for the Cure is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for brain cancer research. Head for the Cure also benefits the UW Alvord Brain Center which we have found is an extraordinary medical clinic staffed with caring and knowledgeable staff who helped us navigate the rigorous treatment that Emily has undergone.

Funds raised by Head for the Cure support the Brain Tumor Trials Collaborative, a network of medical centers with the expertise and the desire to participate in state-of-the-art clinical trials investigating new treatments for malignant brain tumors.
