10 years ago my “wombmate” was diagnosed with a brain tumor. Mike & Michelle were expecting their 2nd child in June. Luckily, his tumor was slow growing so they decided to wait until Clara was born before scheduling Mike’s surgery. 2 weeks after Clara was born, Mike had surgery to remove what we would later learn was a medulla blastoma. His recovery included both chemotherapy and radiation. We are grateful that he has been cancer free officially for 9 years now. We are aware of how lucky we are to have him with us today. We continue to raise awareness and support brain cancer research. Thank you for your prayers and support (through the years as well as the day of the race)!
