I hope this time finds you well, and that you and your loved ones are staying safe and healthy during these difficult times.
As we all continue to navigate the ever-changing environment, we know that thousands are still fighting their own personal battles against brain cancer. Everyday life with a brain tumor brings many challenges of its own, and with the added hardships of this pandemic, it can make things even more difficult. Now more than ever, we need your help to let brain tumor patients, caregivers and loved ones know they are not alone!
We are now entering into Brain Tumor Awareness Month, the month dedicated to this community that is so important to me and all of BEAM. That is why Team BEAM is back this year to participate in Head for the Cure 5K on August 30, 2020! We know this year may be different, but this event is so important to me, and we need the most support we can get. Head for the Cure is already planning for the possibility of a virtual 5K run/walk.
Whether hosted in person or virtually, this 5K serves as a mechanism to fight back, honor loved ones memories and provide inspiration to those who are in the middle of their journey with a brain tumor.
How Can You Support?
Join Team BEAM - To help alleviate financial strain, Head for the Cure has removed all price increases for the remainder of 2020, so registration prices will remain $27.
Make a Donation to Team BEAM – Whether it’s $5 or $100, these funds are crucial to funding clinical research for brain cancer.
Follow Us on CaringBridge.com – Follow our page and help share our story with others or simply follow Head for the Cure on any social media platform!
Thoughts and Prayers- This is the greatest support you can offer. Please pray for BEAM, pray for our team, pray forallfighters, caregivers, friends and families that are affected by this awful disease, pray for a safe race (and maybe for itnot to be a monsoon this year!).
Help us show the brain tumor community that even during this time of social distancing, NO ONE FIGHTS ALONE! Together we will provide support and ignite hope for all who have been affected by a brain tumor diagnosis.
Wishing you continued health and safety!
